Hey there! I’m so glad you’re here. If you’ve made it this far, chances are you’ve connected with my work and can already picture your family in front of my camera, and I can’t wait to make that vision a reality.
Family photos don’t have to feel stiff, overly posed, or like a chore. My sessions are all about connection, movement, laughter, and the little moments that make your family yours. Expect plenty of playful prompts, genuine laughs, and those beautifully imperfect moments that you’ll want to remember years from now.
My goal is to create images that don’t just show what your family looked like during this season of life, but how it felt to be together.
Whether you’re chasing little ones around, celebrating a new addition, documenting your growing family, or simply wanting to freeze this chapter in time, I’ll guide you every step of the way so you can relax, have fun, and actually enjoy your session.

Hey there! I’m Brigette
I’m a photographer based in the Chicagoland area with a love for travel, adventure, people, and all the little moments that make life worth remembering.
When I’m not behind my camera, you can usually find me planning my next international adventure, photographing live music, or finding any excuse to get outside. I’m happiest surrounded by mountains, oceans, forests, good music, great food, and even better people. I also have a serious love for the color purple, hats of all kinds, and having a grand ole time through this wild adventure we call life.
My approach to photography is candid, fun, and laid-back. Whether I’m photographing a family, couple, senior, maternity session, wedding, or adventure, I want you to feel like yourselves in front of my camera, not like you’re performing for it.
Instead of stiff poses and forced smiles, I’ll give you fun prompts, little activities, and things to do together that naturally bring out the laughs, movement, connection, and genuine moments. My goal is to create photos that feel like you, full of personality, emotion, and the energy of the moment.
I absolutely love getting to work with people from all different walks of life and documenting the seasons, milestones, adventures, and everyday moments that mean the most to them.

I work with you to create a seamless timeline for your photos (or lack thereof if you want a more hands-off documentary approach) to help the day run smoothly and stress-free! I also help with planning and choosing the best photo locations and send questionnaires that help me know the two of you and your vision better to help me capture the day in an authentic way to the two of you and your story!

WHAT DOES YOUR MONEY GO TOWARDS?
I know the cost of professional photography can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially when you see a session listed as 1–2 hours and wonder, “Should it cost that much?”
I want you to understand that when you book me, you’re not simply paying for the hours we spend together taking photos. You’re investing in the entire photography experience, from the moment you inquire, to the moment your final gallery lands in your inbox.
For every session, I spend a minimum of 15–20 hours on the entire process. That includes everything that happens behind the scenes that you may never see.
Your investment helps cover:
Initial communication, planning, & consultation
Location scouting and session preparation
Creative direction & posing guidance
Travel time and expenses
Professional camera gear, lenses, lighting, & equipment
Professional editing software and technology
Culling, hand-editing & retouching every image
Gallery creation, organization & delivery

Continuing education and investing in my craft

FAQs
What should we wear for our family session?
My biggest advice? Wear something you feel comfortable and confident in! I love when outfits coordinate without looking overly matchy-matchy. Think complementary colors, textures, layers, and pieces that allow you to move and actually be yourselves. I’m always happy to help with outfit ideas before your session, too. You will also receive an outfit planning guide upon booking!
What if my kids don't cooperate or sit still?
Don’t stress about it! Your kids do not need to sit still, smile on command, or behave perfectly for us to get amazing photos. My approach is very laid-back and playful, and I’m used to working with kids of all ages and personalities. We’ll let them run, play, explore, snuggle, and be themselves. Some of my favorite images are the completely unplanned moments!
WHERE DO FAMILY SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
I have a handful of favorite locations around the Chicagoland area, but I’m always happy to help you find a spot that fits your family and the look you’re going for. Whether you want a beautiful outdoor location, somewhere meaningful to your family, or a more unique setting, we’ll find the right fit together. Some locations may require additional permit or entrance fees, which are the client’s responsibility.
WHAT HAPPENS IF IT RAINS?
I’m definitely not afraid of a little bad weather! Some of the most beautiful and dramatic photos can happen when the weather isn’t perfectly sunny. That said, safety always comes first. If we’re dealing with severe weather or conditions that will make the session miserable, we’ll work together to reschedule for a better day. I’ll keep an eye on the forecast leading up to your session and communicate with you if we need to make a game-time decision. If cancelation occurs, we agree upon a new date that works.
WHEN WILL WE GET OUR PHOTOS?
After your session, I’ll carefully hand-select and edit each image from your gallery. I always send a small preview within one week. My typical turnaround time is 4 weeks, and you’ll receive your final images through an online gallery where you can easily download, share, and print your photos. I take the time to make sure every image feels cohesive and beautifully represents your family
WHAT IF WE'RE AWKWARD IN FRONT OF THE CAMERA?
You are absolutely not alone! Most of my clients tell me they feel awkward or nervous about having their photos taken, and then end up having way more fun than they expected. You don't need to know how to pose or know what to do with your hands. That’s my job! I’ll give you gentle direction when needed while also creating space for the natural moments to happen. My goal is for your photos to feel like you, not a stiff, overly posed version of your family.

I want you to feel 1000% confident in having me as your photographer! Let’s jump on a phone call, face time call, or exchange emails and discuss your vision! I can help you determine the right package you need and answer any questions after viewing all of this information!
2. SIGN CONTRACT & PAY DEPOSIT
If you decide you want to book, go ahead and email me your desired package. I will send over your contract for you to view and sign. I require a NON REFUNDABLE 50% DOWN PAYMENT with your signed contract to reserve your date on my schedule. The remaining balance is due 1 week before your session date. Payment plans can be arranged based on your needs. Payments are accepted via Venmo, Zelle, Chase Quick pay, or check. If you would like to pay via card through Pay Pal, the 3% processing fee will be added on to your total deposit price.
3. PLAN AND DREAM ABOUT THE BEST SHOOT EVER!!
Once you are booked, I will send over my outfit guide full of tips and tricks for you to start planning. We will also discuss lot’s of location options, optimal timing for best light, & more to make sure your shoot is just as you want!
